Your Role Includes:

Personal Care: Bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and transfers

Nutrition Support: Meal prep, feeding, hydration, and shopping

Home Support: Light housekeeping, laundry, and safety maintenance

Medication Assistance: Documented and supervised support

Companionship: Social engagement, hobbies, emotional reassurance

Transportation: Appointments, errands, and social outings

Health Monitoring: Reporting changes and documenting interactions

Family Collaboration: Engaging with families respectfully and supportively

Technology Use: Mobile EMR and scheduling tools via AlayaCar
What You Must Bring:

Certified HCA Certificate (or equivalent certification) from a recognized Canadian program (Must be registered on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory)

Medication Administration Course (if certified pre-2019)

CPR/BCLS – Health Care Provider level certification

Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License

Reliable vehicle with $2M liability insurance for work use

Clear criminal and vulnerable sector check (within previous 3 months)

Up-to-date immunizations, including Hep B, MMR, Tetanus, current annual Influenza, and current annual COVID

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support client mobility
Client Matching & Tech-Savvy Scheduling

We aim to assign clients based on your location, but as a growing company, we ask for flexibility across the city. In time, we plan to establish distinct North and South Calgary pods to reduce travel demands.

HCAs manage their work using the AlayaCare mobile app – a user-friendly tool that makes it easy to access your schedule, care plans, and updates on the go.
Training, Orientation & Mentorship

All new staff participate in a paid orientation period after onboarding.

You’ll have access to ongoing support from our RN Educator and RN Supervisor, who provide mentorship, coaching, and on-site visits when you're navigating new or complex care situations.

Whether you're a seasoned caregiver or entering the home care field, we ensure you never feel alone on the job.
Regular Support & Check-Ins

We believe in proactive communication and support. HCAs participate in weekly check-ins with their Clinical Supervisor to talk through concerns, challenges, and celebrate successes.
